Job Description
Red Hills Powersports is a reputable, family-owned and operated powersports business in Tallahassee, FL. We are currently looking for a SHIPPING & RECEIVING CLERK to join our team of motorcycle and powersports enthusiasts.
The position of Shipping & Receiving Clerk will report directly to the Parts Manager and will work cooperatively with other members of the parts and service teams to provide timely product inventory controls, as well as other means of support. This individual will communicate with their supervisor daily, as well as assist with any necessary warehouse functions.
Working Schedule:
M-F 8:30A-6:00P (1 hr lunch break)
Dealership Hours:
T-F 9-6; Sat 9-5; Closed Sun & Mon
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities
- Receives incoming shipments, checking the packing slip with actual shipment for completeness and accuracy before placement in appropriate warehouse location
- Label parts inventory and distribute to correct departments, notifying appropriate personnel of receipt of all special orders
- Keep appropriate records to guarantee that tight inventory control and security are maintained
- Assist in physical inventories and cycle counts
- Assist with any needed warehouse functions including, but not limited to, unloading packages, stocking shelves, as well as any other related tasks required by the position supervisor
- Process all outgoing shipments
- Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly workspace. Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse. Conduct daily operations in a manner that promotes safety.
- Perform or assist in building, grounds and equipment maintenance as directed.
Requirements
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; and sit. Must be able to safely lift and move equipment up to 50 pounds. Work includes frequent movement around the dealership facilities.
- Occasionally ascends/descends a ladder or other equipment to manage, move, lift, or replenish inventory.
- Frequently operates a computer and other office equipment, such as a phone, copy machine, desktop, mobile device, and computer printer.
- Ability to perform responsibilities at the designated site for designated hours as assigned, excluding holidays and PTO.
- Ability to work without direct supervision, utilizing critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills, including telephone, e-mail, and verbal
- High energy, comfortable performing multifaceted projects in conjunction with day-to-day activities
- Experience working in a results-oriented, team environment
- Exceptional time management skills
- Computer and Smartphone literacy
